Garanti Jazz Green Continues "Films With Jazz" Series on 30 September With "Inside Llewyn Davis" Garanti Jazz Green, which has supported jazz music for 21 years, continues to bring together cinema and music during autumn months with its "Films With Jazz" series. Within the scope of the Films With Jazz series, the film "Inside Llewyn Davis," inspired by the life of renowned folk musician Dave Van Ronk, will meet art enthusiasts on Sunday, 30 September at 17:30 at Bomontiada Alt. Directed by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, the 2013 film focuses on young musician Llewyn Davis's struggle to establish himself in New York's music market during the 1960s. The film, which blends music and drama, brings to screen the young musician's adventure to get an important manager of the era, Bud Grossman, to listen to a copy of his record under the city's challenging conditions. Nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, the film stars Oscar Isaac in the lead role, alongside important names such as Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Carey Mulligan. The "Films With Jazz" series, realized in collaboration with Başka Sinema, screens films from the autumn and winter program in their original language with Turkish subtitles.
