L'Oréal Türkiye 50+ Tekno Kadın Guru Program Enters Second Year with Greater Momentum

The 50+ Tekno Kadın Guru Programme, which aims to support women in taking a more active role in the digital and technology world, is continuing into its second year with an expanded scope, new training content and an intergenerational mentoring model. While the programme aims to develop the digital skills of women aged 50 and over, this year the sharing of knowledge and experience is also being reinforced through a reverse mentoring model involving company employees and university students.

The 50+ Tech Women Guru Program, which aims to support women's active participation in the digital and technology world, is continuing its mission in its second year with expanded scope, new educational content and an intergenerational mentoring model. The program targets the development of digital skills for women aged 50 and above, while this year also strengthening knowledge and experience sharing through a reverse mentoring model involving company employees and university students.

L'Oréal Turkey, operating in the techno-beauty sector, continues to support women in reaching their true potential in line with its approach centered on equality, fairness and inclusivity. The company ranks 9th globally in the Equileap 2025 Gender Equality Report published at a global scale, while being the only techno-beauty company among the top 50 companies in the DIAL Global Index 2025.

Educational Content Expanded
In the program's first year, trainings focused on digital literacy and basic technology skills were significantly expanded in the second year based on participant feedback. The number of training modules was increased from 12 to 25.

In the new period, participants will receive:

-Artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence use

-E-commerce and digital brand building

-Canva and content creation tools

-No-code / low-code technologies

-Social media content management

-Financial literacy and LinkedIn management

-Awareness of digital fraud

comprehensive trainings on such topics. The program also aims to support women with a holistic approach through content focused on social skills such as self-compassion, body image and self-esteem.

Intergenerational Reverse Mentoring Model
One of the notable innovations in the program's second year will be the reverse mentoring approach. Under this model:

-40 women actively participating in the trainings

-will be paired with 40 young women mentors aged 18–35.

During the six-month mentoring period, participants will conduct monthly online meetings to realize mutual learning-based experience sharing. The program aims to bring together young women's digital knowledge and practical experience with the life and work experience of women aged 50 and above.

"Women 50+ as Active Actors in Digital Transformation"
Vanya Panayotova, Country General Manager of L'Oréal Turkey, made the following remarks regarding the program:

"We see beauty as a transformative force that increases individuals' confidence and helps them reach their true potential. For 40 years we have been developing practices supporting equality, fairness and inclusivity in Turkey. As of 2024, women hold 50% of our leadership positions within the company. With the 50+ Tech Women Guru Program, we continue to strongly support women aged 50 and above in learning, producing and becoming visible."

Digital Skills Support Women's Empowerment
Research shows that a significant portion of employees aged 50 and above are seeking career development opportunities. It is noteworthy that the use of generative artificial intelligence is observed at higher rates in the 45–55 age group compared to younger groups.

In line with these findings, L'Oréal Turkey positions women aged 50 and above not as a group lagging behind digital transformation, but as active actors shaping new modes of production.

Program Starts on 9 March
The first training of the program's second term will be held on 9 March. The program, which reached 3,000 women in its first year, aims to reach more than 4,000 women in its second year.

Following trainings that will run until April, the program's online graduation ceremony will be held on 17 April.
