Notre Dame de Paris
Victor Hugo's immortal love story adapted from The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, the Notre Dame De Paris musical will be performed in its original French language at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center Main Theatre for 21 performances between 9-25 March!
The Notre-Dame de Paris musical was first staged in Paris in 1998. Adapted from Victor Hugo's classic love story The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, the music of the modern production was composed by Riccardo Cocciante, while the lyrics were written by Luc Plamondon.
Approximately 20 years later, today the love story that began at Palais des Congres Paris continues to be performed with the same great enthusiasm and attract audiences as it did on opening night. When Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante began working on the musical, they probably could not have imagined such success.
Entered in the Guinness Book of Records in its first year as the musical reaching the most viewers, Notre Dame De Paris featured the songs "Vivre", "Belle" and "Le Temps Des Cathédrales" which occupied music charts for many years.
With total sales exceeding 10 million DVDs and CDs, 12 million tickets sold; performed in seven languages, in 20 countries more than 4,500 times and recipient of numerous awards, no superlative would be an exaggeration to describe the success of Notre Dame de Paris.
Having drawn great interest in every city it has visited over the years and having sold all tickets when displayed in English at Zorlu PSM three years ago, the musical is now coming to meet its audience in its original language, French.
Do not miss the opportunity to watch Notre Dame De Paris, which will be staged 21 times between 9-25 March at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center Main Theatre, and to witness one of the most important works in musical theater history!
