Polisan Kansai Boya Says "Stop Violence Against Women"

The "Bazaart Competition Exhibition," realized since 2011 as a project of the Yeniköy Rotary Club and sponsored by Polisan Kansai Boya, opened its doors at Ferda Art Platform. Gizem Altun became the recipient of Polisan Kansai Boya's special award on the subject of "Violence Against Women."   The Bazaart competition exhibition, postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic occurring in the world and in our country, is taking place at Ferda Art Platform between 22-26 March 2021. The exhibition, in which Polisan Kansai Boya has been among the sponsors for six years, starts from the idea of "Art in Every Home" in its tenth year and provides art students with the opportunity to exhibit their work before graduation, while reminding that art and art collection is not a luxury and demonstrating its accessibility to everyone.

10. In its tenth year, Bazaart 2021 awards prize money of various amounts to selected works and contributes to the education of artists. Within the scope of Bazaart 2021, Polisan Kansai Boya also gave a special award to support young artists and raise awareness about violence against women. With the "Every Voice is a Breath" project, Polisan Kansai Boya aims to develop solution-oriented social awareness against women's issues and to promote the understanding that solutions can be reached through collective efforts rather than individual measures. The recipient of this year's special award is Gizem Altun, whose work emphasizes that the environment in which mothers find themselves affects new generations as well.

"Smiling women mean smiling tomorrows"

Alara Bitlis, who visited the exhibition and later participated in the award ceremony on behalf of Polisan Kansai Boya, said in her remarks: "As a society, one of the most effective ways to express our stance against violence is through art. Our support for the Bazaart project is very important to us. Because through this project we not only stand by our young artists. With the Polisan Kansai Boya Special Award, we are trying to give voice to women's voices. With our motto 'Smile at Life,' we support projects that will bring smiles to every area of life, produce solutions to problems, and boost motivation. We know that smiling women mean smiling tomorrows."
