Samson Switchblade Flying Car in Carbon Fiber to Be Unveiled

With the push of a button, the tail of Samson Switchblade, a carbon fiber flying car, can transition from driving mode to flight mode in just two minutes. Switchblade is designed as a three-wheeled, street-legal vehicle that can be driven from home to a nearby local airport. Upon arrival at the airport, the wings deploy and the tail can extend in less than three minutes. Switchblade can then fly as a registered aircraft at speeds up to 200 mph and altitudes up to 13,000 feet. When Switchblade lands, it easily reverts to driving mode and the wings can be safely retracted. Sam Bousfield, designer of the Switchblade flying sports car, stated: "The folding tail creates an image as if Transformers, Batmobile and James Bond were all brought together. When we saw it in action for the first time, the visual impact was absolutely breathtaking."
