Samsung Electronics Completes Acquisition of FläktGroup, Europe's Leading HVAC Company

Samsung Electronics announced the formal completion of its acquisition of FläktGroup, one of Europe's leading HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) companies. Through this strategic move, Samsung aims to significantly strengthen its position in the global HVAC market by combining FläktGroup's manufacturing capacity, sales network and sector expertise with its own technological capabilities.

As part of this process, FläktGroup's subsidiaries Woods Air Movement, SEMCO and SE-Elektronic are also joining the Samsung Electronics umbrella. These companies, which possess broad expertise ranging from ventilation and fire safety systems to advanced automation solutions, will play a critical role in advancing Samsung's HVAC product and service portfolio.

FläktGroup's existing company name, management, employees and facilities will be preserved, and the brand will continue to operate as an independent Samsung subsidiary while maintaining its technological expertise.

With this acquisition, Samsung is positioning its HVAC business unit as a new-generation growth engine within its Device eXperience Business. The company plans to increase investments in commercial HVAC solutions and expand more aggressively into high-growth sectors such as AI-focused data centers.

Samsung responds strongly to rising global HVAC demand
As demand for HVAC solutions in large-scale facilities grows rapidly across Korea, North America and Europe, Samsung aims to continue investing to build strong supply chains and expand service capacity in each region.

Having strengthened its regional position last year by establishing a joint venture with Lennox in North America, Samsung will deepen its global HVAC expertise through the FläktGroup acquisition and increase its competitive strength.

Samsung also plans to integrate FläktGroup's advanced HVAC control technologies with its SmartThings Pro and b.IoT building management platforms, creating new opportunities in smart building applications, energy efficiency and automation.
