TURQUALITY Experts to Support Exporters

The "TURQUALITY® Expert Training Program" was held in İzmir by the Export Academy with the aim of ensuring more effective use of TURQUALITY support, which has been provided by the Ministry of Trade for 22 years to strengthen the branding processes of Turkish exporting companies, increase value-added exports and give Turkish brands a stronger position in global markets.

The Export Academy conducted the "TURQUALITY® Expert Training Program" in Izmir with the aim of strengthening the branding processes of Turkish exporters, increasing value-added exports, and positioning Turkish brands in a stronger position in global markets through TURQUALITY support, which has been carried out by the Ministry of Commerce for 22 years.

The program, organized in cooperation with the Aegean Exporters Associations and the Izmir Chamber of Commerce, took place at the Izmir Chamber of Commerce. The 172 participants in the training will provide expert support to companies in the Aegean Region's branded export journey.

"Exports set records in 2025"
Speaking at the opening of the program, Deputy Director General of Exports at the Turkish Ministry of Commerce Bülent Tuncer noted that Turkey demonstrated strong export performance in 2025 despite increased global uncertainties and protectionist tendencies.

Tuncer stated, "In 2025, our merchandise exports reached USD 273.4 billion and our services exports reached USD 122.6 billion. We are implementing comprehensive support mechanisms to broaden and increase exports. In 2026, we will increase the support amount we provide to our exporters to TRY 45 billion."

"TURQUALITY is a strategic branding program"
Aegean Exporters Associations Coordinator Chairman Muhammet Öztürk emphasized that TURQUALITY is a strategic support program for companies aiming to become global brands.

Öztürk stated, "State support is vital for our exporters during this period of intensifying global competition. Under TURQUALITY, companies receive support in many areas such as promotion, trade fairs, corporate structure, consulting and sustainability."

Noting that the EIB works intensively to ensure supports reach exporters, Öztürk said, "In 2025, we facilitated TRY 2.4 billion in state support reaching our exporters. TURQUALITY projects hold a significant share in this amount."

"The key to the global branding journey"
Izmir Chamber of Commerce Board Member Serdar Gökhan Arıkan noted that the program strengthens Turkish brands' position in global markets, stating, "Value-added production and branding are the foundation of sustainable export success. The TURQUALITY program plays a critical role in this transformation."

Arıkan also noted that target market analysis and consulting services are provided to companies through the Export Support Office.

Training qualified export specialists
The program conducted by the Export Academy aims to develop qualified human resources in the field of foreign trade, and it was stated that more than 900 participants have benefited from the training held to date.

It was announced that successful participants will receive certificates of participation and achievement at the end of the program.
