Novartis Oncology Turkey Strengthens Management Team

Novartis Oncology Turkey, which operates with 20 products and nearly 100 employees in the oncology and hematology fields to add value to patients' lives, is strengthening its management team with new leaders. In this context, Tuğba Akgül joined Novartis Oncology Turkey as Market Access Director. In addition to this role, Tuğba Akgül will also be a member of the management team. Tuğba Akgül graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Chemical Engineering in 2001 and completed her Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and Executive MBA program at the same university. Continuing her career in the pharmaceutical industry through various positions at multinational companies, Akgül has also held senior management roles. Serhan Sevgi, who served as Medical Director of the IHD (Immunology, Hepatology and Dermatology) Group at Novartis Pharma, was appointed Medical Director of the Oncology Division. With his new position, Sevgi will continue his responsibilities as a member of Novartis Oncology Management Team. A graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine where he worked as a Research Assistant, Serhan Sevgi obtained his specialty in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology in 2000. Sevgi began his career at Novartis in 2000 as Medical Director, and has since served as Cardiovascular, Respiratory & Rheumatology, IHD & Ophthalmology and IHD Group Medical Director respectively from 2006 onwards. In another appointment at Novartis Oncology Turkey, Nergis Kaya, who served as Marketing and Sales Productivity & Channel Strategy Manager, was appointed head of the Operational Excellence Unit, which was established to achieve the most appropriate working model and organizational structure. Kaya's main responsibilities as Operational Excellence Manager will cover Sales Productivity, Channel Strategy Management, Sales Team Training and Congress & Symposium areas. In addition to this role, Nergis Kaya will continue her work as a member of Novartis Oncology Management Team. A graduate of Marmara University English Business Administration Department, Nergis Kaya has worked in various positions at multinational companies in the pharmaceutical industry; she began her career in 2014 as Commercial Excellence Manager at Novartis Oncology Turkey and has continued as "Marketing and Sales Productivity & Channel Strategy Manager" since 2017.
