Turkey's 50 Most Influential CMOs Announced

Results of the "Turkey's 50 Most Effective CMOs" research, conducted in collaboration between Fortune Türkiye and DataExpert and targeting Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) who bear major responsibility in increasing brands' return on investment, have been announced.Beril Alakoç, CMO of Petrol Ofisi, the traditional leader of Turkey's fuel sector, secured a place among the "50 Most Effective CMOs" in 2019, as she did in 2018. Petrol Ofisi CMO Beril Alakoç, emphasizing her satisfaction in contributing to the recent developments recorded by such an important brand, stated: "Petrol Ofisi is Turkey's third-largest company. Commenting also on the results of the 50 Most Effective CMOs research, Beril Alakoç said: "In line with evolving global economic conditions, marketing departments are assuming greater responsibility. The findings of the research, including the increase in the share of marketing within companies' total budgets, is a concrete indicator of this increased responsibility of CMOs. Furthermore, the research shows that the average budget allocated by CMOs to digital in their work appears to be high, which certainly holds important implications for the future. However, the fundamental element in achieving results in this area stands out in terms of quality rather than quantity. The managers listed in the "50 Most Effective CMOs" list, determined through examination of candidates' performance against CMO success criteria by the Research Advisory Board, received their awards at a special ceremony held at CMO Summit 2020, which took place on Tuesday, 18 February at Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel.
