C.O.I.M. S.p.A. Continues to Grow Stronger

C.O.I.M S.p.A Strengthens Position in Hotmelt Sector In May 2021, as C.O.I.M S.p.A, we brought NEOFLEX SL, a company that has been active and manufacturing polyurethane adhesives in Spain for over 60 years, under our roof. With this acquisition, we aimed to strengthen our activities in the polyester sector primarily through the production of reactive polyurethane hotmelt and two-component adhesives. Two years have passed; we continue to develop across Turkey and globally, and to strengthen our partners and customers. Reactive polyurethanes are essentially composed of polyesters and isocyanates, and as C.O.I.M S.p.A, we have positioned ourselves to control the production of these adhesives from the formulation of polyesters through to the manufacture of the final product, in order to offer end customers the most suitable products according to their needs. Reactive polyurethane hotmelt adhesives are a product group that can be used in many industrial sectors such as construction, building, automotive, textile and decoration. Due to the performance they demonstrate in terms of heat resistance, hydrolysis resistance, process acceleration and efficiency, reactive polyurethanes are a technology replacing the use of other more traditional adhesive ranges. Due to the growing need to work on environmentally friendly products, as C.O.I.M S.p.A, we have strengthened our lines through our work on the development of bio-renewable raw materials and isocyanates with low free isomer content. Products manufactured with these raw materials have also been integrated into the product range by NEOFLEX SL. Beyond bio-renewable products, we have formulations developed according to the requirements of many other sectors, countries and customers. One of the products we are currently focusing on most is NEOTHERM PU 3353 MLE, which we call "Low Emission Grade" and which minimises the environmental harm of hotmelt adhesives while providing production, cost and labour advantages to users. This product also holds RAL GZ 716 certification in the PVC Lamination Window sector. Another product we have developed is NEOTHERM PU 3794 MLE, which we created for edge band adhesive. Additionally, NEOTHERM PU 2904 and NEOTHERM PU 3807 are other products we have developed for transparent adhesive lines. In the wood sector, we have NEOTHERM PU 3596C and NEOTHERM PU 3596.1 products, which we use in profile wrapping and whose design we have updated to suit new market trends. Since July 2021, as C.O.I.M Turkey, we have been selling reactive hotmelt adhesives. We would like to note that we are always at your service for your enquiries.
