U.S. Silica Launches New High-White Pigment
U.S. Silica announced EverWhite Pigment, a newly engineered specialty pigment. It can be used to partially replace or complement other inorganic white pigments such as titanium dioxide (TiO2) and aluminum trihydrate (ATH).
Zach Caruson, EVP and President of Industrial and Specialty Products at U.S. Silica, said: "Our EverWhite® Pigment disperses more easily, maintains bright white color quality, and opacity flexibility helps products achieve depth effect."
U.S. Silica reports that EverWhite material is domestically sourced and contains durability and hardness reflecting the functionality of other high-performance TiO2 pigments. Customer applications include coating formulations, quartz countertops, plastic fillers, cement-based products, and numerous building materials.
The company reports that customers using EverWhite can reduce their TiO2 consumption by up to 50%, resulting in significant cost savings.
