What is Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)?
Chemical oxygen demand (COD) is the amount of oxygen required for chemical oxidation of oxidizable substances in water. Chemical oxygen demand is one of the most important parameters used to determine the degree of pollution of domestic and industrial wastewater (especially industrial wastewater such as textile, food, chemical, etc.). Chemical oxygen demand is a simple analysis that can get results in two and a half hours. Heat UP Heater block is a 100% domestic laboratory product that provides precise temperature control for repeatable results. Efficient heating is provided from closed pipe to block through maximum heat retention. COD, total nitrogen, total phosphorus etc. analyses require the reaction to take place at certain temperatures and times. It is therefore an ideal product for these analyses where temperature stability is required. Heat up heater block with digital display can prepare up to 12 samples, easily programmable from the digital display for six different temperatures (70°C, 100°C, 120°C, 148°C, 150°C, 160°C) and at different times (30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes) in different combinations.
