Innovation Champions Announced

Since 2012, organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly under the coordination of the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, Turkey Innovation Week brings together all stakeholders involved in innovation—from senior executives of global companies to thought leaders in innovation, from academics to students, from executives of Turkey's leading companies to the highest-level representatives of the public sector. Within the framework of Turkey's first innovation development program, a total of 15 companies placed in the top three across 5 different categories were awarded at the İnovaLİG2018 Awards Ceremony. In 2018, the fifth edition of İnovaLİG, Turkey's first innovation development program, is being held. In its first year, 460 companies applied, in 2015 488 companies, in 2016 761 companies, in 2017 971 companies, and in 2018 2,000 companies. The innovation champions received their awards at Turkey Innovation Week, honored by the presence of the President. The event held at Istanbul Congress Center featured strong participant attendance, with presentations on innovation as well as panels and sessions organized. Evaluated in 5 main categories (Innovation Strategy, Innovation Organization and Culture, Innovation Cycle, Innovation Resources, Innovation Results), Latro Kimya Dış Tic. A.Ş. is justly proud of placing third within İnovaLİG under Innovation Organization and Culture. Haluk Can HUR, General Manager of Latro Kimya, stated that since its establishment, the company has worked to provide innovative solutions to its partnerships and make this part of institutional culture, bringing a new perspective to the sector. He noted that the award they received is the greatest indication that they are moving in the right direction. He emphasized that their work in this area will continue in the coming period, and that they will proceed with a pleasant working system to create solutions that will lead the sector forward.
