"Chemistry R&D Project Market" to Be Held Digitally

The 9th "Chemicals and Chemical Products R&D Project Market," organized by the İKMİB (Istanbul Chemical Products Exporters Association) with the approval of the T.C. Ministry of Trade, is being held this year. Due to the pandemic, the event will be conducted digitally and broadcast live on İKMİB's YouTube channel, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 21 November.

The "Chemistry R&D Project Market," held annually since 2011, aims to promote R&D and innovation culture, provide technological solutions to meet industry's intermediate goods needs, strengthen university-industry-government-entrepreneur cooperation, and increase high value-added production and exports. Applications will be evaluated across 6 separate categories: "pharmaceuticals," "medical devices," "paints and adhesives," "plastics and rubber," "cosmetics, soap and cleaning products," and "basic chemicals." Prize-winning project owners will receive total monetary awards of TRY 700,000, comprising TRY 600,000 for degree recipients and an additional TRY 100,000 special award for commercialized projects. Additionally, applications in the "Success Stories" category will be evaluated to showcase projects that received awards in previous years and have reached a certain level of success.
