Sabancı University Collaboration Space Manager Erdem İnanç brought together 3D printer owners, software developers and designers in Turkey to support the fight against Covid-19. Sabancı University Collaboration Space Manager Erdem İnanç, who called on designers, software developers and hardware engineers to produce materials for healthcare workers' medical equipment and personal protective equipment needs in the fight against Covid-19, reached nearly a thousand volunteers in a short time. Erdem İnanç, who brought the kitleseluretim.org platform to life together with his colleagues Ahmet Alpat, Yaşar Celep, Mert Mumcu and Umut Yıldız, composed of volunteers to provide healthcare workers with low-budget protective materials and medical equipment that patients can use in Turkey's fight against Covid-19, stated that they have reached a sufficient number in technical fields such as 3D printers, software developers and designers, and they have requested information from healthcare workers about the necessary materials and equipment.

A decentralized platform was established

The formation called Mass Production Movement was established as an independent, decentralized initiative aimed at bringing existing production capacity and human resources together with needs in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. The founders of the platform stated that they believe the production power of the crowd can reduce the damage caused by the outbreak.

Healthcare workers' needs lists are awaited

İnanç, noting that they can provide support in the production of products such as protective masks, face shields, ventilators and oxygen concentrators needed by healthcare workers employed in hospitals and healthcare facilities, said that healthcare workers are expected to share their possible needs lists.
