Tiryaki Agro Acquires Yudum Brand

Tiryaki Agro, part of Savola Group's affiliate Savola Foods Türkiye, has added Turkey's leading edible oil brands, primarily Yudum, to its portfolio, strengthening its retail position in the edible oil category following its earlier moves in the legumes and rice category.

Tiryaki Agro, a subsidiary of Savola Group through Savola Foods Turkey, has added leading Turkish vegetable oil brands including Yudum to its portfolio, strengthening its retail position in the vegetable oil category following its established presence in pulses and rice.

Tiryaki Agro and Savola Group, two major players in the global food supply chain, have entered into a strategic partnership to create a more resilient, competitive, and consumer-focused structure in Turkey and the region.

Under the agreement, Tiryaki Anadolu, a subsidiary of Tiryaki Agro, acquired 100% of Savola Foods Turkey, which houses leading vegetable oil brands including Yudum. As part of this transaction, Afia International Company, a subsidiary of Savola Group, acquired a 15% stake in Tiryaki Anadolu's consolidated business structure.

This partnership represents a significant step in the long-term strategies of both organizations:
•    For Tiryaki Agro, it accelerates the transformation into a consumer-focused and diversified player managing the value chain from seed to table alongside global supply chain leadership, while continuing to expand and strengthen investments in Turkey.
•    For Savola Group, it reinforces long-term commitment to Turkey through a model that creates operational synergies and continues the development of strong brands under an integrated structure.

Tiryaki Agro, celebrating its 60th anniversary, has made a significant move in the retail vegetable oil sector with this step. In addition to Yudum-branded sunflower oils, leading olive oil brands Yudum Egemden have been added to Tiryaki Anadolu's product portfolio. The portfolio was further expanded with Brillo and Cielo branded olive oils with strong export market positions, Sırma-branded corn and sunflower oils, and Sava and Vala branded bakery and industrial oils.

Tiryaki Agro strengthens integrated food value chain with established brands
Tiryaki Agro CEO Süleyman Tiryakioğlu commented on the agreement: "As a global company born in Turkey, we are steadily continuing our investments in our country in line with our goal of providing nutrition solutions everywhere in the world and creating a food future in harmony with nature. As Tiryaki Agro has grown in agriculture and the food value chain for 60 years, we make our strategic decisions with a long-term perspective. This strategic partnership is an important part of our sustainable growth vision. For us, it is a special source of satisfaction to reunite Turkey's established and consumer-trusted brands, particularly Yudum, under the roof of a Turkey-based group. At the same time, as in our other strong collaborations globally, we foresee that partnering with a strong group like Savola will create new opportunities in Turkey as well as in regional markets. With this step, we aim to strengthen our presence in Turkey and contribute to our country's global competitiveness. Our goal is to bring established brands together with our global experience to offer consumers a wider range of products."

A strategic step toward a stronger and more diversified structure in Turkey
Savola Group CEO Sameh Hassan said: "This step brings together complementary strong partners that unite supply excellence, an integrated value chain, and Turkey's most iconic and trusted brands. Our brands, particularly Yudum, Egemden and Sırma, have held a place at Turkish tables and in consumers' hearts for decades. Today this legacy forms the foundation of a stronger, more resilient, and more competitive structure.

This partnership with Tiryaki Agro is a clear demonstration of Savola Group's commitment to Turkey and the food sector. Turkey's dynamic domestic market, strong agricultural infrastructure, and export potential offer an extremely attractive ground for sustainable value creation. Through this integrated structure spanning from agricultural supply to branded final products, significant opportunities will be created in enhancing global competitiveness, food safety, and sustainability."

The merger of two strong structures will open doors to new opportunities
Tiryaki Anadolu CEO Tekin Mengüç said: "As Tiryaki Anadolu, we have a steadily growing market share in the retail sector with our Hasata brand in the pulses and rice categories. Now we are bringing together the retail strength of Turkey's beloved vegetable oil brands, particularly Yudum, with Tiryaki Anadolu's strong supply chain infrastructure and production experience. This collaboration will increase production efficiency while enabling us to offer consumers a broader and higher-quality product portfolio. By supporting local production, we aim to create a more competitive structure both in the domestic market and internationally," emphasizing the strategic importance of the collaboration.
