Rockwell Automation and Beypiliç Partner on Industrial Safety at New Production Facility

Rockwell Automation has implemented a comprehensive industrial safety solution at Beypiliç's new meat processing facility, aimed at strengthening worker and machine safety across the plant. Carried out with local implementation and project coordination support from AB Market Elektrik Otomasyon, the project established a sustainable and standardized safety infrastructure compliant with international standards.
Rockwell Automation implemented a comprehensive industrial safety solution at Beypilich's new meat processing facility to strengthen employee and machine safety throughout the plant. Executed with local application and project coordination support from AB Market Elektrik Otomasyon, the project established a sustainable and standardized safety infrastructure aligned with international standards.
Rockwell Automation, a company operating in industrial automation and digital transformation technologies, completed a comprehensive industrial safety project at Beypilich's new processing facility, one of Turkey's leading poultry producers. The project strengthens employee safety and machine safety throughout the facility while supporting safer operational processes in line with the food processing sector's strict hygiene requirements and safety standards.
The project aimed to prevent unauthorized access to electrical control panels, increase employee safety during maintenance activities, and establish a standardized safety approach throughout the facility. The implementation also provided infrastructure supporting compliance with increasingly important safety standards and regulatory requirements in the food processing sector.
Safety as an Integral Part of Facility Design
Fatih Üzümcü, Country Manager at Rockwell Automation Turkey, emphasized the importance of addressing safety from the initial facility design phase:
"From the first day Beypilich began planning its new facility, it treated safety as a core element of the project. Through this standardized and solution-oriented approach, both legal requirements were met and a safer working environment was created during daily operations and maintenance procedures. This project demonstrates that through close collaboration between end users, business partners, and technology providers, safety can be structured as an integral part of facility design rather than as a retroactively added element."
The collaboration brought together Rockwell Automation's expertise in industrial safety with AB Market Elektrik Otomasyon's local application and coordination experience as an authorized member of the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork™ ecosystem and value-added distributor in Turkey. AB Market played an important role between Rockwell Automation and Beypilich throughout the process from system design through field implementation and project coordination.
Strong Coordination at the Foundation of Successful Projects
Coşan Kuzu, Regional Sales Manager at AB Market, noted that projects of this scale require strong coordination from the outset:
"Projects of this magnitude require strong coordination from the very beginning of the planning phase. By working closely with Rockwell Automation and Beypilich, we contributed to implementing a consistent safety approach throughout the facility while supporting local implementation processes, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational requirements."

Comprehensive and Standardized Safety Infrastructure at the New Facility
As part of Beypilich's new meat processing facility investment, electrical panel doors throughout the facility were secured to reduce risks that could occur during operation and maintenance procedures. Through the implemented solution, access points were monitored contactlessly, reducing exposure to moving or energized equipment and supporting a safer working environment for employees.
Following project completion, approximately 2,000 safety devices were commissioned at the facility. The implementation is intended to serve as a reference project exemplifying a comprehensive and standardized industrial safety approach for large-scale food and beverage production facilities in the region.
The safety solution implemented at the Beypilich facility was developed based on Rockwell Automation's industrial safety product portfolio. Specifically, Allen-Bradley® 440N Ferrogard® GD2 contactless safety lock switches designed for wet and high-hygiene production environments were selected for the project.
The safety devices, featuring stainless steel construction with IP68 protection rating, provide resistance to water and corrosion in poultry and food processing facilities while being designed for reliable use in production environments where frequent washing and sanitation procedures are performed.
