Validation: Its Role in Electroanalytical Analysis and Related Parameters
21 April 2022 14:00 - 15:15 Metrohm Turkey Webinar Platform
In this segment of Metrohm electrochemistry webinars on electrochemical pharmaceutical analysis, we are hosting Prof. Dr. Sibel A. Özkan from the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara University, recognized for her work on analytical validation parameters during the preparation and application of reliable standard working methods including validation, selectivity, specificity, precision, accuracy, linearity, detection limit, quantitation limit, and robustness in electrochemical drug analysis.
Electroanalytical methods, like other analytical techniques, are frequently used in pharmaceutical analysis, analysis of biological samples, bioequivalence and bioavailability studies, evaluation and interpretation of pharmacokinetic information, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of active substances.
Analytical method development and validation play an important role in drug development, assay and manufacture. To perform these operations correctly, it is necessary to develop and use fully valid analytical methods that are well-characterized and capable of producing reliably interpretable results. Analytical method validation is a collection of parameters that proves an analysis can be performed accurately, sensitively and reliably. Analytical validation tests are procedures that demonstrate the suitability of methods for the intended analysis. It is the assessment of product quality and characteristics through various tests at each stage to ensure that the target analyte and the selected substance from the application purpose are selective, precise, accurate, robust, and that neither chemical nor physical properties are compromised.
Some of the topics to be covered by our guest speaker in this webinar titled "Validation: Its Role in Electroanalytical Analysis and Related Parameters":
- Validation in electrochemical pharmaceutical analysis
- Validation parameters
- Mandatory and recommended parameters
- Required values
