Paribu Cineverse announced first weekend box office results for Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated new film "Odyssey". Between 17-19 July, the film reached 225,258 cinema-goers nationwide in Turkey, drawing attention with its strong box office performance as well as high preference rates in IMAX theatres and success in digital ticket sales.

"Odyssey", meeting cinema-goers in Paribu Cineverse theatres where cinema converges with technology, received intense interest from cinema enthusiasts during its opening weekend. The production directed by Christopher Nolan was particularly preferred by younger audiences and male cinema-goers.

Strong Performance in IMAX and Digital Ticket Sales
"Odyssey", which stands out with its visual narrative designed for large-screen experience, achieved successful results in premium cinema formats. While the online ticket sales rate for the film reached 51%, this was realized above the industry average (31%).

The film's visual world and cinematic experience also increased audiences' preference for premium theatres. The IMAX preference rate, which stands at 11% in average cinema viewing, rose to 33% specifically for "Odyssey". This result demonstrated that the film strengthened the expectation of being watched with large screens and advanced image technologies.

Intense Interest from Young Audiences
According to Paribu Cineverse data, 42.7% of members who watched the film were audiences in the 20-29 age range. The rate of male audiences was 33%.

Data also showed that the film transformed the cinema experience into a social event. 63% of audiences purchased two tickets in a single transaction, preferring to watch the film together with a relative.

In ticket distribution, full-price tickets accounted for 67%, student tickets 31%, and discounted tickets 2%. This breakdown showed that "Odyssey" found a strong response across different audience groups.
