Selpak Professional Launches Zero Waste Blue Movement

Selpak Professional, operating under the Zero Waste Blue Project in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, organised awareness training sessions for tourism sector workers in coastal provinces and conducted a beach cleanup event in Yalova.

The event took place along a 250-metre stretch of coastline adjacent to the Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products Yalova facility and was attended by representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change's Marine and Coastal Management Department, Zero Waste Applications Department and Yalova Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, along with a 50-volunteer team from Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products. The event collected 2 tonnes of waste.

Under the Zero Waste Blue Project, Selpak Professional cooperates with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change to organise information and awareness training sessions for tourism sector workers. The company organised a waste collection event on the coast in Yalova where its tissue paper factory is located, aligning with zero-waste principles. The event, which saw participation from 50 company volunteer staff and support from relevant institutions, represents another step within the brand's sustainability vision. Through the Yalova beach cleanup initiative, Selpak Professional emphasised not only the objective of waste collection but also the importance of environmental awareness and collective action.
