Bostik Launches New Generation P795 Sealant

Bostik has launched its new product Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium to the Turkish market. The product, a next-generation polyurethane sealant, was developed for general use to provide waterproofing in structural and expansion joints and joints in paved sidewalks. Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium is also a suitable sealant for roof applications.

Product Description Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium is a next-generation single-component user-friendly low-MDI fast-curing high-performance and durable polyurethane sealant. Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium does not form bubbles during the curing process.

Application Areas

Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium has been specially developed as a general-purpose sealant to provide waterproofing in structural and expansion joints and in joints in paved sidewalks, and is suitable for roof applications. Complies with NFP 85-610.

Application Instructions

A joint of the correct dimensions can absorb movements between building materials. There must always be a correct relationship between joint depth and joint width. As a general rule, provided that joint depth and width are at least 5 mm; for joints up to 10 mm wide, the ratio of joint depth to joint width is 1:1. For joints wider than 10 mm, depth is obtained by dividing the width by 3 and adding 6 mm.

Surface Preparation and Priming

Application temperature is +5°C to +40°C (for ambient and surface conditions). All surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from grease and dust. Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium adheres excellently to most non-porous surfaces without the use of primer. For absorbent surfaces, priming with Bostik Super Grip 5075 can be applied beforehand. Adhesion properties must always be checked before application.

Paintability

Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium can be painted with water-based paints and most two-component paints. Synthetic paints may dry more slowly. Testing compatibility with paint before application is recommended. If Bostik P795 Seal'N'Flex Premium product is to be painted (not necessary), it is recommended to lightly sand the sealant and joint surfaces with Scotch Brite first. For best results, painting within a few days after application is recommended.

Cleaning

Uncured material and tools can be cleaned using industrial white spirit or alcohol. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. Limitations

- Not suitable for PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene and bituminous surfaces - Not suitable for use in combination with chlorides (pools). - White sealant may show slight yellowing when exposed to ultraviolet light.
