Advanced Technology in Waterproofing: Hayperflex's New Product

Alvo A.Ş., which entered the waterproofing sector rapidly, is excited to add another product to Hayperflex's extensive range. The waterproofing need that emerged alongside the trend of mezzanine balconies and landscape work in the construction sector prompted Alvo to develop its Hayperflex Elastofix 2K product. One of the most important features of Hayperflex Elastofix 2K, which Hayperflex has launched, is that it is reinforced with special polymers, so that even if punctured, the product self-seals and maintains its waterproofing properties, allowing waterproofing application to continue without issues.

Another distinguishing feature is that it is reinforced with special elasticity-imparting silanes and has 2500% elasticity.

Hayperflex Elastofix 2K is used for waterproofing in building foundations, curtain walls, wet areas, metal/concrete roofs, facade panels, bridges, viaducts and concrete drainage channels in addition to balconies and terraces. It can be easily applied to concrete, plaster, screed, repair mortar, plastered brick, wood-OSB board, cement particle board and metal surfaces. This product, which could be described as a cure-all for waterproofing, can be used on any surface and in any environment requiring insulation. Elastofix 2K retains all of its properties in the temperature range of -40 / +120 ^oC. In addition to 2500% elongation capacity, it has high tensile strength, tear resistance, abrasion resistance and substrate adhesion strength. Before Elastofix 2K application, the surface must be dry and free of moisture. Concrete must be fully cured for a minimum of 28 days. The surfaces to be coated must be free of dust, oil, grease, paraffin, cement residues, old membranes and loose particles that could weaken adhesion. If possible, the surface should be cleaned with high-pressure water and dried. Damaged areas in concrete must be repaired with Hayperflex Epoksi Mortar-SF. Additionally, the surface must be primed with Hayper Pur Primer 1K or Hayper Epoksi Primer SF. On the primed surface, Hayperflex Elastofix 2K supplied as ready-to-use kits should be mixed on-site and applied at a minimum of 1.80 - 2.50 liters per m² using airless spray gun, roller, brush and squeegee in two cross-bonded coats to the substrate, completing the process.
