Noise Barrier from Ytong

Türk Ytong, the leading player in the autoclaved aerated concrete sector, is providing an economical solution to reduce the impact of road and railway traffic noise on residents with its Ytong Noise Barrier, manufactured in compliance with specifications. The General Technical Specification for Building Works, Construction, Machinery and Electrical Installations, prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and published in the Official Gazette dated 12 March 2020, has been amended. With the update, the General Technical Specification for Noise Barrier Works states that reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete products can be safely used.

Compliant with European Union legislation

Designed to contribute to European Union legislation compliance efforts launched to control and reduce noise pollution in cities, the Ytong Noise Barrier has been certified by acoustic tests conducted at TSE Laboratories in accordance with TS EN 1793 standard. Used as a noise/sound screen to control environmental noise pollution on roads, railways, airports and industrial areas and to reduce adverse effects on living spaces, this system stands out for its robustness, stable structure, rapid installation capability and cost-effective solution. Weather-resistant and maintenance-free, the Ytong Noise Barrier can be used in all climate zones in Turkey.

Noise threatens mental health

Emphasizing that noise in urban life is a significant threat to human and public health, Tolga Öztoprak, Deputy General Manager of Türk Ytong, stated: "An environment protected from noise is important for our physical and mental health. As settlements concentrate in areas close to transportation networks, this has become an issue not only for major cities but for residential areas of every scale. As Ytong, we are offering an effective solution to this problem with the Ytong Noise Barrier, which we have begun manufacturing in Turkey using domestic raw materials. Unaffected by weather conditions and resistant to many environmental impacts including wind loads, the Ytong Noise Barrier is a differentiating system with its non-rotting, rust-proof, non-sectional loss and wear-resistant structure. Therefore, it is a low-cost alternative in terms of investment and lifecycle costs."
