Turkey's First Perfume Awards Announce Winners

Marie Claire Fragrance Awards, one of the globally respected organizations in the perfume world, was held in Turkey for the first time this year under the platinum sponsorship of MG International Fragrance Company. The Marie Claire Turkey Perfume Awards, held in Istanbul, brought together Turkey's deep-rooted fragrance culture with international standards on the same stage.

At the event highlighting the strong connection fragrance culture establishes with memory, Turkey's broad ecosystem—ranging from the cologne tradition to niche perfume brands—gained visibility on a global scale. The organization, bringing together leading actors in the sector, stood out as an important meeting that positioned Turkey more strongly on the international fragrance map.

The most meaningful moment of the evening: Lifetime Achievement Award
One of the most striking moments of the evening was the "Lifetime Achievement Award" presented to Mişel Gülçiçek, Honorary Chairman of MG International, by Élisabeth de Feydeau, a French fragrance historian and expert. With this award, Gülçiçek's career spanning more than half a century and his contributions to Turkey's fragrance culture were honored.

Additionally, at the event, MG International's contributions to the sector were emphasized with a plaque presented to Bülent Konca, Deputy General Manager.

International jury drew attention
During the evaluation process for the awards, a jury composed of international experts in the field was appointed. Jury members included: Aslan Gülçiçek, MG International CEO and Head Perfumer, Prof. Dr. Ayten Altıntaş, Florence Deladrière, Jörg Zimmermann, Dr. Maren Protzen, Prof. Dr. Murat Kartal, Rüya Büyüktetik, Serli Gazer and Virginie Daniau.
