Two New Appointments to Aksa Enerji Board of Directors

Aksa Enerji announced the appointment of Korhan Baykal as 'Member' and Seçil Şendağ as 'Independent Member' to the new term Board of Directors. With these appointments, the proportion of female members on Aksa Enerji's Board of Directors increased from 25% to 33%.

Aksa Enerji made two important appointments to strengthen its corporate governance structure and support its sustainable high-growth target. As of June 2025, Korhan Baykal was appointed as a Board Member, and as of July 2025, Seçil Şendağ started her role as an Independent Board Member. 

With these appointments, the proportion of female members on Aksa Enerji's Board of Directors increased from 25% to 33%, exceeding both the 25% level stipulated in the Capital Markets Board's Corporate Governance Circular and the "minimum 25% female member ratio" target set within Aksa Enerji's "Women on the Board of Directors Policy". This achievement is regarded as a reflection of Aksa Enerji's commitment to "Gender Equality", which is among the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Korhan Baykal began his career at Aksa Enerji in 2010 as Business Development Manager, and subsequently held various management positions at Kazancı Holding and its group companies Aksa Elektrik, Fırat Elektrik, and Aksa Jeneratör. Since 2022, Baykal has served as a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Aksa Elektrik, and as of 2024, he also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Aksa Jeneratör. 

Seçil Şendağ, Chief Executive of 360 İletişim, which she founded in 2010, provides consulting services in strategic communication and stakeholder relations at national and international levels. With over 30 years of experience in corporate communication and social impact communication, Şendağ works on social impact projects with numerous international institutions, including UN Women. An active civil society volunteer, Şendağ was selected in 2017 as one of the "World's 30 Leading Figures in Social Benefit Communication" by Women Influence Forum.

Aksa Enerji's Board of Directors comprises Board Chairman and CEO Cemil Kazancı, Deputy Board Chairmen Naci Ağbal and Serdar Nişli, Board Members Tülay Kazancı, Ömer Muzaffer Baktır and Korhan Baykal, and Independent Board Members Halit Haydar Yıldız, İlkay Demirdağ and Özlem Seçil Baykara Şendağ.
