Could you briefly tell us about yourself, your education and your professional background in the sector?
I was born in Sakarya in 1977. After graduating from Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Architecture in 1999, I completed my MBA at Yeditepe University. I started my career as Project Sales Manager at Soyak A.Ş. Then I worked at Enser Industrial Services A.Ş. first as Logistics Manager, then as Sales Manager. After Enser A.Ş. was acquired by Coim SpA in 2014, I continued working as Sales Director until 2019. In 2019, I was appointed General Manager of Coim Turkey and continue to hold this position.
Could you briefly tell us about Coim's establishment process and its organization in Turkey?
Coim's story began in 1962 when Mario Buzzella and Cesare Zocchi came together with their shared passion for chemistry. Coim took its first step in production with its facility in Offanengo and quickly captured a significant share of the methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (Ketanox) market in Italy. Over time, it has grown in both local and global markets with its product portfolio expanding into chemical fields such as polyesters, polyurethane and specialty resins.
Today, Coim Group operates with 19 production or trading units in many countries including Italy, Germany, Turkey, Singapore, USA, Brazil, India and Spain, and has 9 production facilities and more than 1,300 employees.
Coim Turkey was established in 2014 as a subsidiary fully owned by COIM SpA as part of this international structure. Coim Turkey maintains a service approach committed to global quality and standards while flexibly responding to the needs of the local market.
Could you tell us about the products and services you offer?
Coim Group has a very wide product range in the chemical field and particularly develops and produces polyesters, polyols, polyurethane-based systems (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers) and specialty resins for composites and coatings.
We offer our products according to the needs of special sectors and industrial applications, focusing on "technological performance" rather than "chemical specification." Through our research and development capability and technical support services, we also provide customized solutions to our customers.
Our main product families are:
Polyols (for polyurethane production),
PU Case systems (polyurethane-based coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers),
Polyesters and specialty resins for coatings,
Polyesters and specialty resins for composite applications.
Our main product groups are:
Imuthane: Hot-cast polyurethane prepolymers used in technical elastomers, coatings and sealants.
Laripur: Thermoplastic polyurethanes.
Urexter: Polyurethane shoe systems.
Novacote®: Adhesives and coatings for flexible packaging; offers solvent-based, solvent-free and water-based options.
Coiminks®: A comprehensive system consisting of flexible packaging inks, varnishes and primers.
Hydrolar: Water-based polyurethane dispersions used as coatings and adhesives on leather, wood and textiles.
In addition, Coim's product range offers "product + application" based solutions according to specialized products and is used in many areas such as automotive, footwear, cable, conveyor belts, construction, flexible packaging, insulation, maritime, synthetic and natural leather, wheels and ski boots according to sector applications.
What is your company's mission and vision? What strategy do you follow to achieve these goals?
Coim Group's mission is to continue developing its presence in polymers and specialty chemicals on a global scale while acting with the fundamental values of "respect and consideration for people and the environment."

All of our production facilities are ISO 9001 certified; as a group we adopt an approach based on quality, innovation and direct collaboration with our customers.
Can you provide information about Coim's sustainability policy?
At the group level, we have been carrying out our sustainability activities consistently for a long time. In 2021, we published our first Sustainability Report covering only COIM S.p.A. In subsequent years, we gradually expanded the scope and included all companies in the group in this process. At the end of 2024, we published our 2024 Sustainability Report covering all of our subsidiaries inside and outside Europe – including our most recent European acquisition, Atmosa. This report presents our environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance as well as our social, environmental and economic indicators, and our management practices in employee health and safety.
Our aim is to maintain a consistent and holistic approach to sustainability while identifying areas that need to be developed throughout the Group. Over 60 years, COIM's core values have not changed; on the contrary, they have been strengthened with our care for our customers, the importance we place on innovation and our goal of creating value for all our stakeholders.
For us, sustainability means protecting the economic and physical-psychological welfare of our employees, safeguarding the environment, supporting the development of local communities and ensuring long-term business continuity. We always aim to provide our customers with the best product at a fair price.
Furthermore, when selecting our suppliers, we carefully evaluate their compliance with the same sustainability principles. We continue to develop products with lower environmental impact and that are safer for employees and consumers. Sustainability is an integral part of our culture and business conduct; we act with this awareness and aim to create a better world for future generations.
Could you share your expectations about the future of the polyurethane sector with us?
The polyurethane sector will undergo a significant transformation in the coming years in line with both technological developments and sustainability goals. Demand continues to increase in many industries from automotive to construction, furniture to flexible packaging, due to advantages such as high performance, lightness and versatility.
In the future, the sector's focus will be on formulations that reduce environmental impact, bio-based raw materials, and solutions compatible with circular economy and recyclability. Additionally, technologies that increase energy efficiency in production processes and innovations that reduce carbon footprint will come to the fore.
Digitalization and automation will also become increasingly critical for quality control, traceability and efficiency in polyurethane production. As COIM, we aim to play a pioneering role in this transformation and develop solutions through our research and development activities that simultaneously meet both performance and sustainability criteria.
