Students Return with Award from International Final
The project by Ferhat Bulduk from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi and Ayça Yazıcı from İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, who represented our country at the international final of the İzocam Student Competition held in Belarus, was awarded the Jury Special Prize.
İzocam Student Competition: Turkey Wins Jury Special Award at International Finals in Belarus
The international final of the İzocam Student Competition, an initiative demonstrating İzocam's commitment to social responsibility and offering significant opportunities to university students, was held on 25-28 May in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. In the competition featuring 54 projects from 23 countries, students developed a living space while considering the social, cultural and climatic characteristics of the city of Brest in Belarus.
Three projects from Turkey participated in the two-stage competition.
As a result of the intense competition among students, the project by Ferhat Bulduk from the Building Research and Planning Department at Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi and Ayça Yazıcı from the Architectural Design Department at İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, representing Turkey, was deemed worthy of the Jury Special Award.
For the seventh year, the İzocam University Students Insulation Competition, which has gained an international dimension with Isover, has brought the Jury Special Award to Turkey for the third time with its finalists.
Bulgaria placed first in the competition, South Africa second, and Romania third. Belarus, Finland, Romania and Turkey were recognised with the jury special award.
