The Eastern Mediterranean Petrochemistry Industrial Zone and Port (DAPEK), developed by Rönesans Holding, continues its growth with new investments and increasing international interest. Implemented across approximately 1,300 hectares in Ceyhan district of Adana, the project aims to create an integrated industrial ecosystem that brings together petrochemical production, port operations, energy infrastructure and logistics services under one roof.
At the heart of DAPEK lies an approximately USD 2 billion polypropylene production facility developed by Rönesans Holding and its international partners, as well as a liquid bulk terminal. In addition, with ongoing container port and infrastructure investments, total investment in the project has exceeded USD 3 billion.
Aiming to Become a Regional Industrial and Logistics Hub
Located in the strategic position of the Mediterranean, DAPEK stands out among investments that will strengthen Turkey's industrial infrastructure. The project aims to bring petrochemistry, energy and logistics sectors together in the same region, offering significant advantages in production, storage and export processes. It is also expected to contribute to reducing Turkey's dependence on imports in the petrochemical sector and increasing industrial competitiveness.
In Focus of International Investors
With rising investment volumes, DAPEK continues to attract the attention of international investors. The project was recently presented at the ICCD Board of Directors and Executive Meeting attended by business representatives from over 20 countries. At the meeting, the zone's investment potential, strategic location and long-term development vision were shared with investors.
Within the scope of work conducted with SJ Group, DAPEK's management partner, the aim is to ensure the zone is managed by international standards and to develop it into an attractive industrial centre for new investors. Developed as Turkey's first industrial zone, the project is progressing toward becoming an important centre for high value-added investments in petrochemistry and related sectors.
