Operating in the field of polyurethane systems, Kimpur continues to expand its range of solutions for the transport sector, which requires high safety and performance standards, with the KIMflex® HR Foam System developed for rail system applications. The new system combines passenger comfort with long service life and fire safety criteria, meeting the technical requirements of the railway sector.
Compliance with EN 45545-2 Standard
Fire safety, low smoke generation and low toxic gas emissions are of critical importance for materials used in rail systems. The KIMflex® HR Foam System developed by Kimpur successfully completed tests carried out under the European standard EN 45545-2, which evaluates the fire response performance of materials used in railway vehicles.
The system meets fire safety criteria sought in rail system applications by passing heat release rate and toxic gas density tests, while standing out with its low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions, low smoke generation and low toxic gas emissions characteristics.
The KIMflex® HR Foam System, which has high resilience properties, provides long-term comfort and performance with its durable structure suitable for intensive passenger use.

Kimpur Chief Executive Officer Cavidan Karaca stated that the developed system demonstrates the company's R&D capabilities, saying:
