Bayer employees voluntarily support Bayer Young Science Ambassadors Project, organized in cooperation with Bayer and Community Volunteers Foundation that aims to ensure primary school children’s enthusiasm for science. In order to become “Volunteer Ambassadors”, employees participate science literacy training first.
The trainings provided by TOG include panel discussions on the concept of volunteerism and communication with children, also application of scientific experiments of the project.
After completing their scientific literacy training, Bayer Volunteer Team recently made their first visit to Ümraniye Şehit Sevgi Yeşilyurt Primary School. By the end of the 2018-2019 academic year, Volunteer Bayer employees seek to explore the enjoyable world of science and reach approximately 400 children.
Bayer Young Science Ambassadors Project, that reached more than 36 thousand children so far, aims to meet 5 thousand primary school children in 2019 and encourage them to become scientists in the future.
This year, the project will be held in Ankara, Bingöl, Bolu, Bursa, Gaziantep, Izmir, Kahramanmaraş and Niğde in primary schools determined by Regional and Provincial Directorates of National Education.
