PAINTEXPO EURASIA 2019 the Eurasian event organized under the umbrella of PaintExpo, the world’s leading Industrial Coating Technologies Trade Show, as well as SURTECH EURASIA 2019, the International Surface Treatment, Galvanizing Chemicals and Technologies Exhibition, took place with substantial interest from visitors and participating buyers from 55 countries. The event drew was found particularly noteworthy with the next-gen robot technologies put on display.
The Industry is Growing with Robots
Noting the transformation the industry began to experience nowadays, Vedat Güngören, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIG Makina, drew attention to the fact that the industry has been oriented towards a new direction based on rapid robotization and robotic applications, with a view to achieving sustainable quality, against a background characterized by the difficulty of finding semi-skilled and skilled workers.
The Fight Against Corrosion is a Matter of National Interest
Stating that the galvanizing procedure can render a material capable of resisting the effects of time for 70 years, Alim Kınoğlu, the Vice President of General Galvanizers Association (GALDER), underlined the need to introduce corrosion as a concern in government tender specifications as the first step in the fight against corrosion.
H. Yener Gür’eş, the President of Turkish Constructional Steelwork Association (TUCSA), on the other hand, emphasized the need to embrace the fight against corrosion as a matter of national interest, and said that Turkey lost an estimated USD 50 billion to corrosion, at least 7.5 billion of which could be potentially be recovered.
A Most Fruitful Trade Show Attended by Visitors and Participating Buyers from 55 Countries
The PAINTEXPO EURASIA 2019 trade show attended by 84 participating firms, including 22 foreign ones, which lead the way in industrial coating applications, as well as SURTECH EURASIA 2019 organized simultaneously, to bring together 66 participants –including 26 foreign firms– from the top echelons of the surface treatment and galvanizing industry, drew substantial interest. The events visited by approximately 4 thousand visitors, 411 of which were foreign guests from a total of 55 countries, once again kept the pulse of the industry and the region. Germany, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Algeria, France, UK, Iran, Italy, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia were but a few of the countries from which visitors attended the events bringing regional leaders together.
