SYNTETIC ODORS

We need to know more about the synthetic fragrance and perfumes that are increasingly entering our lives in recent years. Because there are serious doubts that these synthetic smells adversely affect our health.

The use of synthetic fragrances is not limited to perfumes; More than 5,000 fragrance synthetic materials dominate our lives, ranging from household cleaning products to laundry cleaning products, stationery products to plastics, medicines and even food beverages.

Possible Harmful Effects of Odors

The modern world, especially the people living on the urban areas, are under the pressure of an intense fragrance they are not aware of at all. In fact, from our detargent to air-freshener,

In every space we enter, we are completely unprotected against the incongruous harmony of varying odors and the directive effect of a bulk synthetic chemical molecule in our mind and body that we do not even know.

Why?

Fragrances enter our body through breathing, mouth or skin and affect our skin, nose, eyes and brains. In recent years, these synthetic scents, which we were unaware of, were further discussed and their possible effects were associated with diseases.

These debates are particularly important for the people who started the process of returning to nature in the 21st century and have triggered the value of natural aromas and consequently their production.

The fragrance is also an industrial sector and the perfumes are associated with words such as “sensual”, “seductive”, “luxurious” and “exhilarating” and made attractive for people. But when you discover what’s actually in the bottle, some of this romance has already been lost.

Many skin problems, hormone metabolism deterioration and a number of serious health problems, including cancer, are due to the appearance of a cocktail of synthetic chemicals. The worst additives we need to keep in mind are the solvent and the fixative diethyl phthalate (DEP) and the fake perfumes known as synthetic ‘musk’.

Both DEP and derivative monoethyl phthalate (MEP) were associated with breast cancer and sperm DNA damage, and perfume users were found to have more than twice the MEP level in their urine.

Synthetic muscles with estrogenic effects are also associated with breast cancer and have actions that can worsen the effects of other toxic chemicals.

Most of the odors are volatile organic compounds which are irritating to the respiratory system and have been known to cause cough, wheezing and shortness of breath in asthmatic patients.

Some odors may also cause nasal obstruction, sinusitis, cough, sore throat and chest tightness. It has also been shown that it has effects on heart, circulation and electrical activity of the brain. These are headache, congestion disorder, fatigue, drowsiness.

The most affected organ is skin. Itching, swelling and eczema are the major symptons. Odors can cause eye irritation, itching abd redness. Researches shows that odors absorbed from skin can also be effective by splintered and turning into other compounds.

Others, known as aroma molecules, are novel molecules with a unique odor. Until recently, “ointment” and “perfume” sources were natural and harmless, but now most of them are synthetic in these days.

Flowers, woods, gums, resins, spices and oils were natural erstwhile. But nowadays, most of the odors are completely or partially chemically synthesized.

The modern people has an impressive ability to emulate natural fragrances to evoke new fragrances and to expand the places and remaining capacities of these products. However, some of these efforts, encircles our environment with more chemicals whose biological effects are largely untested.

Aroma Compound

Manys modern perfume contains synthesized odorants. Synthetics can provide odors that are not found in nature. for example, Calone, which is syntetic origin compound, giving a fresh, ozone-depleted metallic sea scent commonly used in contemporary perfumes. S

ynthetic aromatics are often used as an alternative source of compounds that cannot be readily obtained from natural sources.

For example, linalols and coumarin are naturally occurring compounds that can be synthesized cheaply from terpenes. Orchid fragrances (typically salicylates) are synthetically produced to correspond to fragrant compounds in various orchids, not directly from the plant itself.

One of the most widely used classes of synthetic aromatics is white musk so far. These materials are available in all forms of commercial perfumes as a neutral background to the middle notes.

These masks are added to the laundry detergents in large quantities to give a permanent “clean” smell of washed clothes. The majority of the world’s synthetic aromatics are produced by a relatively small number of companies.

Rare Fragrances: Most Beautiful Natural Fragrances

Not all perfumes are bad. A growing number of alternative brand pure essential oils, plant extracts and floral waters, such as organic, natural organic substances produced by the fragrance ranges and natural perfume market is growing day by day.

However, ‘natural’ does not always mean completely safe for everyone. For example, pure essential oils are widely used by natural perfume producers, but some may cause allergic reactions.

In summary; The world of fragrances is a very important area that needs to be taken care of. It is also very important for our health to try to choose the natural sources of fragrance as much as possible.
