The Capi Group has decided to increase its nitriding/nitrocarburizing capacityto keep pace with the recent rise in production. Lately, the Capi Group ordered two additional Nitrex large-capacity nitriding systems. Capi has been usingNitrex products for a long time,dating back to 2018.

The Italian gear manufacturer now possesses four pit-type nitriding/nitrocarburizing furnaces of the same model type and size – the large heavy-duty NX-1230 furnace, which has a load capacity of 11,570 lb (5,250 kg) andmakes use ofNitreg® and Nitreg®-C.
The introduction of accelerated cooling technology allows for a shorter cooling period, thereby providing faster output. The NX furnace design guarantees +/-3°C temperature homogeneity in the retort. The IN-500 exhaust neutralizer allows for a clean and environmentally friendly operation.
The Nitrex furnaces, which adhere to the Aerospace Material Specifications 2750 for pyrometry and 2759/10 for controlled nitriding, are added into the current production line and integrated into a closed-loop water cooling system.
This environmentally friendly system recirculates a stablestream of cooling water to cool furnace components.
