Ws 935 Antifoam for Enamels and Plastic Coatings
In defoamers range manufactured by Siliconi Commerciale Spa there is the anti-foam “WS 935” which presents an interesting and unexpectederformance dichotomy.
WS 935 can be appropriately used in all types of enamels both high gloss, semi-gloss, and opaque, even if formulated at a very low or high viscosity; obtaining in all cases excellent defoaming performance against the macro and the micro foam.hts:

It can also be used appropriately in plasters, in case it is desired to obtain a more easily workable system, with a more uniform aspect when the system is applied. All this, however, is submitted to the condition of accepting to have a lower density product.
Silair™ C 400 Silicone Antifoam for Coating
Silair™ C 400 100% anti-foaming agent based on organically modified PDMS, is extremely compatible and easy to incorporate into a wide range of protective coating systems even with its high concentration.
This allows a simple possibility of use in all systems sensitive to silicone-based antifoams, but which, at the same time, require an effective de-foaming action to avoid problems both during production and application, and above all to obtain an appearance of the dry film, free from foam-defects and leveling problems, and also VOC systems = 0.
The easy incorporation, allows the addition in every phase of the production process and in some cases also in post addition; but being a high concentration antifoam
it can also be used from the initial stages of the production process to minimize or even avoid the problem of stabilization of the foam which is inevitably generated by the addition, in the fluid systems, of fillers and powderpigments and in painting systems even of all those surfactant compounds.
Pigments, fillers, surfactants although essential for obtaining the best behavior and the best performance of the coating-protective system, have the undesired side effect of stabilizing the foam.
The Silair™ C 400;
Thanks to its excellent defoaming efficacy accompanied by a high compatibility, allows its use in systems based on Acrylic and Styrene-Acrylic binders in low-medium PVC and lowmedium viscosity formulations, therefore in enamels, in transparent acrylic systems and adhesives; so, in all those systems in which an adequate efficiency is accompanied by the necessity to incorporate the anti-foam into the system without using high share forces.
Thanks to its composition, Silair™ C 400 does not interfere with or modify the brilliance of the films with high gloss enamels; it does not even affect the transparency of without fillers films.
But by virtue of its effectiveness it can be conveniently used also in charged systems such as paints and decorative systems, taking into account the above with regard to PVC and viscosity of the systems.

WS 360, a Silicone Free Antifoams for Paints and Plasters
WS 360 it is an Antifoaming agent based on eco-compatible ingredients.
WS 360 is formulated for control or eliminating foam during the production phases and during the use of the emulsion paints, plasters, plastic coatings, decorative and special emulsion paints.
WS 360 is a good deaerating for plastic coating blends. It eliminates the air into the liquid. It has a good stability with the coatings, and it avoids the inconvenience of the foam during the production of emulsion paints and during their applications.
It avoids having craters of fish eyes during applications. It is stable during a long time in stock and the concentration of V.O.C. is zero. It doesn’t influence the application of the paint, and its colour. WS 360 it is suitable for semi-gloss paints, high PVC paints, plasters, texture paints.
It is also a good deaerating agent; it is suitable for control the foam into resins emulsion and inks. Thanks to its stability WS 360 not make separation phase also after long time on storage.
WS 360 is a New Generation of antifoaming agent for waterborne paints. WS 360 allows at the Formulator to eliminate petroleum derivate defoamers from Paints and it helps to obtain the environment safety certifications.
