What is Conotoxin?

MCC21, a new generation peptide, is a special peptide called botox active-biomimetric Peptide. When 5% is used in 15-minute and 45-minute clinical studies, it removes wrinkles within 15 minutes and accelerates skin elasticity. While doing this, it makes the feeling of tension without being uncomfortable. Mu-Conotoxin Cniiiic is a peptide molecule with 22 amino acids, although its name is not revealed.

Botox effect, which belongs to “Botox in a Jar” type of topical muscle relaxants, that is, provides an effect similar to botox and does not have any side effects. It is a biomimetic peptide, meaning it tries to replicate the behavior of the natural peptide.

It is found in the sea cost cone snail called conus consors. Biologically speaking, the molecule functions as a modulator of neuromuscular stimulation, which translates into

The Types and Biological Activities

The number of conotoxins whose activities have been determined so far is five, and they are called the α-, δ-, κ-, μ-, ω-. Each of the five types of conotoxins attacks a different target:

α- conotoxin inhibits nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at nerves and muscles.
δ-conotoxin inhibits fast inactivation of voltage-dependent sodium channels.
κ-conotoxin inhibits potassium channels
μ-conotoxin inhibits voltage-dependent sodium channels in muscles.
ω-conotoxin inhibits N-type voltage-dependent calcium channels (analgesic effect)

Summary

Skin elasticity increased after applying a face mask containing 5% SpecPed® MCC21 or 5% benckmark, however, SpecPed®MCC21 outperforms the benchmark sample and shows better effect in increasing skin elasticity.
